Jefferson County Community Garden
The Community Garden is sponsored by the City of Ranson and the Jefferson County Office of the West Virginia University Extension Service. It provides those individuals and families who do not have adequate land at home, an opportunity to raise a garden.

2013 Community Garden ApplicationSpace is rented on a per foot basis with a uniform width. An application for space can be printed and returned to the address on the form. The Community Garden is indebted to several people and organizations that reduce the cost of operating the Garden. Mulch Study on Celebrity Tomatoes
In 2008, Celebrity tomatoes were grown on four different mulches to evaluate the impact of these mulches on production. This same study is being replicated again in 2009. Celebrity is a vigorous tomato with excellent adaptability and disease resistance. It has a medium sized flavorful fruit that ripens in 65 days.
